FOSSILS
Fossils are tangible records of our living history, our ancient beginnings. Ammonites are one of these prehistoric creatures, having occupied the earth in the Devonian through Jurassic Eras, which makes them an astonishing 100 to 300 million years old. Some, like the ones we source from Madagascar, may have a rare silvery iridescence to them. Others are split and polished, revealing their surprisingly beautiful interior colorations. The Orthoceras fossil is the oldest visually recognizable fossil and it dates back some 500 million years.
